Minh Ly is a Canadian actor/writer based in Toronto, ON. He trained at Studio 58 in Vancouver, BC. Since graduating from his alma mater, Minh has worked in film/tv and theatre. Selected film/tv credits include, CARDINAL (CTV Network), MAYDAY (Discovery Channel), STAR FALLS (YTV/Nickelodeon), NIKITA (CW Network), FRINGE (Fox Network), and PSYCH (USA network). Selected theatre credits include, HANA’S SUITCASE (Magnus Theatre), JADE IN THE COAL (Pangaea Arts), THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE (Gateway Theatre), BANANA BOYS (Firehall Arts Centre), and SALOME (Leaky Heaven Circus). Joe jobs of his have included but not limited to being a PRODUCT DEMONSTRATOR (inside department stores), SERVING/BARTENDING (too many to list), BRAND PROMOTIONS (he probably handed you a flyer), and working as a FLIGHT ATTENDANT (there’s a chance he’s given you a safety demo).


GA TING is Minh’s first full-length play, which has been produced twice in western Canada, and published by Scirocco Drama in spring 2017. Playwrights Canada Press included it in an anthology entitled, Q2Q: Queer Canadian Performance Texts, published in summer 2018. Seize the day!
